Training program for beginners


Week plan:

 

  • Monday: Ball handling drills (e.g. stationary dribble, crossovers, between the legs)
  • Tuesday: Shooting drills (e.g. stationary shots, one-dribble pull-ups)
  • Wednesday: Rest day
  • Thursday: Passing drills (e.g. chest pass, bounce pass, behind the back pass)
  • Friday: Footwork drills (e.g. ladder drills, cone drills)
  • Saturday: Defensive slides and positioning drills
  • Sunday: Rest day

 

This is just a sample training plan and can be modified to suit the specific needs and goals of the individual player. It is important to remember that basketball development is a continuous process, and players should be consistent in their training in order to see improvements over time.
